Delivery Policy
For deliveries within New Zealand we use Signature-Required Courier Post Satchels. These range in price from $5.10 for the smallest to $9.70 for the largest. Our monthly shipments of 5" swatches, some Block of the Month projects and single issues of most magazines are mailed in an A4 envelope costing $1.95 per item. With bulkier items, we will try to use Signature Required Courier Post Tickets or, on some occasions, Parcel Past (NZ Post).
For overseas deliveries we mostly use the DHL Global Mail Service which delivers each parcel to the parcel postage service of your own country. The postage we charge is based upon the weight of the parcel and your delivery zone. Most shipments for Fabric Clubs or Block of the Month projects weigh between 200 g and 500 g. The postage on such parcels will range from NZ$4.50 to NZ$12.00 for Australia while for other parts of the world the range is from NZ$8.00 to NZ$22.00.
On some occasions, for example when a parcel exceeds the 2 kg limit for DHL Global Mail, we will utilise NZ Post's International Economy Parcel Postage. Their insurance coverage for parcels over $250 in value costs an extra $10.00.
Each metre of fabric weighs about 180 g and there may be additional items such as a pattern or kitset instructions.
