Grandmother's Garden Grandmother's Garden
Away from Home by Nancy and Oliver Rink (Book) DISCONTINUED preview

I think we all enjoy books that have photographs from the last century and the people who lived then. The Lowell Factory Girls were part of the Industrial Revolution where census tells us that the number of people working on farms dropped dramatically between 1820 and 1860. It must indeed have been hard work — they began work at 4.30am and finished at 7.00pm! It would be unacceptable by our standards now! Anyway — make some of these beautiful quilts using antique reproduction fabrics and read all about the Mill Girls.
