Grandmother's Garden Grandmother's Garden
Annie's Scrapbag by Martha A Walker (Book) DISCONTINUED preview

The book begins - "Ma says I was born in the back of a wagon, stuck in the mud on a rainy night, as she and Pa made their way to their new homestead on the plains". Annie is fictional but as I saw those plains earlier this year, I can well imagine what it would have been like! The author has researched into the lives of women in those days and has produced a nice book with the sorts of things they would have made. There is a very nice quilt called Bunkhouse Bedroll made with Civil War prints. Embroidery, wool applique and cotton applique included.
