The author, Betsy Chutchian, lets us into her Great-Great Grandmother’s life and shares more of her journals written between 1857 and 1882. You will read stories that capture the spirit of life on the Texas prairie. Having just driven across a lot of prairie, I can well imagine the isolation in the days of only horses or walking to get anywhere. Make some of her quilts and read her journal. You could almost be there.
