Advanced Crazy Patchwork Class with Julia Vazey
Come and join Julia for an advanced class in Crazy Patch to make your own magnificent monochromatic block and make it into an asymmetrical purse! New stitches, new ideas on how to get a great three dimensional look. You'll learn more embellishment techniques and Julia will challenge you to use them more intensely. Learn methods and techniques for Corn Pad work, filler flowers and embroidering shells. In Julia's opinion Monochromatic work is the most beautiful of all the crazy patch work and offers a far wider scope for embellishments and stitchery.
Everyone will be working with a pack which will include items like, buttons, ribbon, beads, pearls, wool, threads, perle cotton, shells and much more. The packs are brimming with evening type fabrics like silk, taffeta, lace, velvet, sheers and metallic fabrics and will also include the asymmetrical purse frame.
The cost for this kitset will be NZ$45.00 and will be available in a choice of Cream, Claret/Raspberry, Purple, Copper, Blues & Greens, Lavender & Green, Royal Blue and Silvery Greys (see extra images below main image for colour samples).Please state your colour preference in the Special Instructions on your registration on the Checkout page. It would be of great benefit if you could purchase your kitset in advance and make the block base so as to be ready to start the embellishing work at the beginning of the class. This will help us achieve the goal of completing our “Purse” within the weekend time frame. Please note:The purse “Chain Handle” is not included, however, some will be available to purchase at the class.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, 24th November and Sunday, 25th November 2018 from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day. The tuition fee for the workshop is NZ$80.00 for the weekend.
A receipt & list of requirements will be issued when payment is made in full. Your registration is only guaranteed with full payment. In the event that you are not able to attend the class, a refund can only be given if a replacement can be found.
