Grandmother's Garden Grandmother's Garden

First do the embroidery using backstitch, then add the fabric and lace. Gayle has mounted this on a board and it is going to make a nice addition to her sewing room or wherever she decides to hang it. We have such a nice collection of hand embroidered pieces in the shop now. I don’t think any of us sit down without picking up embroidery. My challenge every evening is to cut a length of stranded cotton, divide into 3 lots of 2 strands and use it up. It’s amazing how quickly you can get a piece finished if you are disciplined.

Actual dimensions are 14 inches x 17 inches
