Hazel's Collectibles - Gold Kitset

For many years I have collected embroidery designs from old magazines — the kind that were included as transfers in your ladies magazines and they had to be ironed on. I could get these in antique shops and people sent them to me knowing I collected them when they cleaned out their mother’s sewing room. My son’s mother in law started working as a volunteer in a charity store and sent me heaps. We ran a Club where members received a design every month. These designs are from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. I made heaps of cushions and three quilts. A blue one, a red one and this one in golds and creams. Finally, I ran out of transfers and designs but here is one of the quilts for you to make.
