Marti Michell Retreat 2018 - Hamilton
We thought last time Marti came to New Zealand, it would be her final visit but you can’t keep a person like Marti Michell down! She is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm. So many of you have been collecting her rulers and template sets over many years so now you can come and meet this world famous lady. If there is a quilter’s hall of fame then Marti would have pride of place.
We will again just have “Quilt Soup” where you will be able to use our sets of templates to try out various patterns, or you can bring your own. When you find something you like, you can spend the weekend working on it. Marti will have plenty of quilt tops for inspiration. She finds un-quilted tops easier to pack for the travel and teaching she does. I am sure there are only a few countries she has not taught in - so come and join us for a very creative weekend and bring your quilting friends so you can have a fun girl’s weekend away.
Marti's retreat will take place over two days on Saturday, 4th August from 9.30am to 4.30pm and Sunday, 5th August 2018 from 9am to 3.30pm at the Hamilton Airport Hotel & Conference Centre. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for both days will be provided as well as a dinner on Saturday night.
Cost, $510.00* per person (Includes the tuition fee, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for both days as well as dinner on Saturday night. Accommodation is not included.) We’ll require a 50% deposit right away. The balance will be due mid June 2018.
* A surcharge of $20.00 for any special dietary needs applies. Please advise us upfront if you have any special dietary needs.
A list of requirements for this workshop will be sent to you closer to the time. Please note that refunds for cancellations can only be given if we have a waiting list but you are encouraged to find your own replacement among quilting friends.
