My Sewing Room
Join me in creating this quilt for your sewing room wall or a neat throw. This image is of the designers quilt and the fabrics you will receive will be different.
I am only on my second embroidered block. We have a very nice collection of sewing theme fabric arriving later in the year and they may be just right. The designers have used Cottage Garden threads. These are hand dyed in Australia.
Each month you will receive a pre-printed block. In the first month, you will receive four different coloured Cottage Garden Threads and the DMC for the girl’s face and hands. In the final month you will also receive the fabrics to put all your sewing room embroideries together.
I encourage you to not only use the Cottage Garden threads, but to get amongst your left over threads to make these blocks as colourful as you like.
If you do want to stick to the designers recommendation then you will need more thread - especially the Gum Nut which is a brown and seems to be used quite a lot. Because this thread is almost $10 per skein, we have given you the option of using your own thread.
Gumnut is a variegated brown and I have used a DMC brown in lots of places as I anticipate you would need about 8 skeins for this quilt. You can however request more Cottage Garden Thread if you wish.
We will begin September/October 2021. The cost of this Block of the Month project is $38 per month for 9 months plus shipping.
Optional Extra of Stabilizer is $8m - just note in the special deliver instructions that you would like this included when we send out the first month.
