Hamilton Retreat 2017 with Lynette Anderson
Lynette teaches all over the world so we are very fortunate that she has managed to fit us into her busy schedule. She has created the Highfield House Bag for our Retreat. This project will include hand appliqué, embroidery and English Paper Piecing techniques. The focus will be on the hand-work for the front and back panel of the bag. It’s not likely that you’ll get to the assembly part of the bag but Lynette will have some step-by-step stages to show you to back up the drawings of her pattern to make sure that you can assemble the bag confidently on your own.
Lynette’s work is very well known and you will find her on the Internet and on Facebook to see sometimes daily photos of some of her classes and what her students are achieving all over the Globe. We will have some of her latest fabrics on hand and also her patterns for various quilts and small projects. Once you have learnt some of her secrets you will be able to tackle any of these.
The retreat in Hamilton will take place over two days on Saturday, 22nd July from 9.30am to 4.30pm and Sunday, 23rd July from 9.30am to 3.30pm at the Hamilton Airport Hotel & Conference Centre, Hamilton. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for both days will be provided as well as a dinner on Saturday night. It will be great to have everyone together after the first day in a more casual setting with some nice food.
Cost, NZ$370.00* per person (Includes the tuition fee, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for both days as well as dinner after the first day of class. Accommodation is not included.)
* A surcharge of $20.00 for any special dietary needs applies. Please advise us if you have any special dietary needs.
A list of requirements for this workshop will be sent to you as soon as available. Your registration is only guaranteed with full payment. In the event that you are not able to attend the class, a refund can only be given if a replacement can be found.
