Sewing Machine Cover Class with Julia Vazey
Julia designed this “Vintage Look” sewing machine cover and is now ready to teach you how to make one to fit your own machine. You will make and embellish the foundation pieced feature block. Next, you will be guided to make the pattern for your particular size sewing machine. Then you will assemble and quilt the cover, and make the lining before assembling it all.
We’ll supply you with a kit that will include the needle punch, quilter’s muslin for the lining, pattern and the fabrics, plus the embellishments and template for the feature block.
You will be required to supply the fabric for the actual cover so you can make it uniquely yours.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, 18th August & Sunday, 19th August 2018 from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day. The tuition fee is NZ$80.00 for the weekend. The kit for the class is NZ$62.60 which you will purchase on the day.
A list of all requirements will be sent to you as soon as it is available. Please note that your registration is only guaranteed with full payment. In the event that you are not able to attend the class, a refund can only be given if a replacement can be found.
