Grandmother's Garden Grandmother's Garden
Sopwell Ladies Basket Society preview

Gail Pan designed this quilt in memory of her father who came from Hertfordshire in England. There was a house there called Sopwell and the ladies names come from the ladies who lived there.

Our Gayle has made this quilt using a lovely mixture of reproduction fabrics. This was a fun quilt to work on as it has a bit of appliqué and piecing and a bit of handwork. Our Gayle says she would be keen to add lots of embellishments and buttons, braids and trims as the very interesting little blocks are just asking for more!

A beginner could tackle this but Gayle being an experienced and advanced quilt maker enjoyed the journey.
