Winter Maize by Ngaire Brooks

Winter Maize is an original design by Ngaire Brooks and is not offered anywhere else in New Zealand. We have held several classes here at Grandmother’s Garden for this quilt and have seen many gorgeous quilts emerge. Because Ngaire used fabrics from her stash, and some could be 30 years old, we cannot supply exactly the same as you see here but Ngaire has worked with Gayle and together they have sorted out fabrics from the shop which will give you exactly this look. It’s a beautiful quilt and although all of Ngaire’s appliqué was done by hand, you can use your own favourite method.

The project runs over ten months and starts in May/June 2019. Month One is NZ$150.00, followed by nine months at NZ$36.00 per month.

Six 100m spools of Silk for hand appliqué, NZ$59.40.
