Jane Davila's Surface Design Essentials (Book) DISCONTINUED

This great little lie flat spiral bound book is going to help you with all aspects of surface design. There are 15 techniques to help you to design great art quilts. Learn the basics of mixing paints -- discover the secrets of using other mediums. I particularly liked the chapter on enhancing existing fabrics -- especially black and white fabrics by painting some of the flowers or motifs with bright paints. I feel a need to try this coming on! There is not a lot about stitching in this book but there are many books on thread painting for surface design that could easily be incorporated with the techniques described here.
