Foundation Piecing with Maryann Paterson

We are very excited to introduce Maryann as a new tutor for Grandmother’s Garden. By the time she arrives to teach for us, she will be an accredited Judy Niemeyer teacher. This has meant going overseas for courses, completing a large number of foundation pieced quilts and teaching classes. She has done all this and is now ready to take on the world! Her work is meticulous! We will begin with a pillow and table runner but you get enough of the foundation papers to complete two cushions and a table runner. Next year we will be offering a full size quilt over several months where you will learn a new skill every month. Because Maryann will be an accredited Judy Niemeyer teacher, the only one in New Zealand!, she can teach exclusive patterns that are not available anywhere else.

I hope you will come and meet Maryann for a weekend and learn the Judy Niemeyer technique and become a follower of Maryann’s, as she works her way through some fabulous foundation pieced designs.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, 20th October from 9.30am to 4.30pm & Sunday, 21st October from 9.30am to 3.30pm. The tuition fee is NZ$135.00 for the weekend. The Rocky Mountain Bear Claw pattern for the class is $51.00 and we'll order this for you upon your registration.

A list of all requirements will be sent to you as soon as it is available. Please note that your registration is only guaranteed with full payment. In the event that you are not able to attend the class, a refund can only be given if a replacement can be found.
